I’ve already made my Christmas list for next year, and there’s only one item on it:
The “Point Of View” gun from Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy. Not a replica – I mean the real thing. If anyone in the Universe has actually made a working version of this, I could make good use of it.
In fact – why wait for Christmas? If you run across one on your intergalactic travels, just send it along.
Thanks in advance, fellow space travelers.
Working for a living is good.
It’s the anxiety over making a living that is not good.
Don’t let your inner self get involved in your business.
That inner self must be preserved for fulfilling your purpose in life.
Making lots of money is not your purpose in life.
The common conception of how the system works is faulty.
They see a career as “making a living.”
A career doesn’t make anything.
What you receive is generated above, in a spiritual realm.
Your business is to set up a channel to allow that spiritual reservoir to flow into the material world.
Subhuti asked: “You say, Honored One, that a follower of the way does not need to build up goodness and happiness. Why is that?”
The Buddha replied: “Subhuti, a true follower will express goodness and happiness but will not be caught up in the concepts of goodness and happiness. That’s why I say that he does not need to build up goodness and happiness, which would only be concept traps, for goodness and happiness will be there without any idea of them.”
The highest person is he who is of most use to humankind.
