First, there was this cute little thing. She now holds my spare change and hair clips.
Then I found these highly-articulated dolls. Some research told me that they’re called Liv dolls, made by a company called Spin Master.
This picture shows (besides the filthy outside of our convection oven) how movable they really are. You can see a hole in the head of the doll on the right – that’s where the peg goes that holds on her wig. I was especially impressed by the fact that they have working kneecaps, unlike my Dollikin doll (made by Uneeda). I owned one as a kid, and I have one now that was sent to me by a friend.
The Liv dolls were naked in a plastic bag with no accessories – so naturally I bought them wigs.
And a boyfriend!
I haven’t gotten them any clothes yet, but the wigs are really long, so they’ll be covered up like Lady Godiva until then.
When I left the building, I got a fantastic view of the sunset which I normally never have at my house – too many trees, poles, signs and buildings in the way.
