Well-behaved women constantly make history. Just because you can’t see them doing it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

They also make well-behaved children who go out and change the world without harming, stealing from or belittling others, which seems to be the norm these days.

So behave as you wish, it’s your choice – but don’t make the mistake of thinking that good behavior equals weakness or ineffectiveness.

The street is full of leaves.

Now the really fun stuff – first, hubby’s office floor. The whole thing has to be torn out.

The laundry room after hubby cleaned most of it up. That floor is shot too.

The flood culprit. We think it got clogged and overflowed when all that sideways rain was blowing around. We may also have to get the roof fixed. Guess what we’ll be using vacation time for? Yup, you guessed it.

All in all, not as bad a result as lots of other people got. Hubby said one of the guard stations at his work just blew right over. I hope no one was in it. Also, he was the one who reported the 18-wheeler on its side – he saw it on the way home for his break.

Storm update

Storm heading east, lighting up the whole sky as it goes. I don’t envy those folks. Sirens all around us, almost nonstop. Laundry room & hubby’s office flooded, will have to tear out flooring in both rooms. We think it was caused by a clogged vent pipe on the roof. Used all our towels but one to soak up the water. Cat still in heat, yowling constantly. My computer acting up, so turned it off. What a way to start the day.
